Aaron Myers is the jazz, gospel, and neo-soul Resident Artist at the Black Fox Lounge. This Dallas, Texas native began playing the piano at the age of 3 and opened for 15,000 people at 13. Aaron sounds like John Legend, Ray Charles, Aloe Blacc, Mel Torme, and Alicia Keyes. He is the host of the online radio program, The Exchange, and Minister of Music at Covenant Baptist UCC. Kavon Ward is the 2012 Paul Robeson Here I Stand Poet and recently opened for Common at the Lincoln Theater in this capacity. This Harlem, New York native regularly performs at Busboys and Poets, Nuyorican Poets Café, and Annie’s Art Gallery. Kavon’s CD, From Policy to Poetry, and poems, including I Am Trayvon Martin, Harlem: Mission to Motivate, and Black is Beautiful, are available on iTunes and Amazon.
